When the time comes for your baby to be born, your body will go through the process of labor and delivery. In most cases, this happens naturally through a normal vaginal birth. Sometimes, if labor needs a little assistance, we may use medical instruments such as a Vacuum or Forceps to help guide the baby deliver safely through vaginal route. In situations where a vaginal delivery may pose a risk to you or the baby, we recommend a Cesarean section, which is a surgical procedure done to ensure a safe delivery.
Throughout this entire process, my priority is your safety and your baby’s wellbeing. We closely monitor your contractions and your baby’s heartbeat, manage your pain and comfort levels, and maintain strict hygiene to prevent any infections. After delivery, we focus on controlling bleeding, delayed cord clamping, supporting early breastfeeding, assessing your baby’s health, and helping your body recover smoothly. Our aim is to provide continuous care and reassurance so that you feel supported and confident during this important phase.
Vaginal delivery is a journey that calls for patience, from the mother, her family, and the obstetrician. To give every woman the best chance of a normal delivery, we will provide detailed counselling during the 9th month, helping you understand what to expect throughout labour.
